T.R.U.E.: Your Roadmap to Unwinding Stress and Reclaiming Ease

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck? Your body is trying to tell you something. It's time to tune in and listen to its wisdom. The T.R.U.E. method is a simple yet powerful tool to help you navigate the natural rhythm of threat, motion, and ease that governs your well-being.

T – Threat:

The first step is recognizing when you feel threat. This could be anything from a stressful work situation to a difficult conversation or pretty much anytime. The reality is our nueroception is picking up threats all the time. ‘There’s my threat’ is a good thing to say. The reason being we want to go to our neurology not psychology. When we go to neurology we make it about the body and sensations when its psychology we can get lost in words and soon enough drowning in story.

R – Recognize:

Recognize the sensations in your body—a racing heart, tight chest, or maybe the diaphragm will be tight. Don't judge or resist these feelings, simply acknowledge their presence. What emotions are present? What thoughts are running through your mind? Remember, you are not your thoughts or emotions, they are simply passing through. By recognizing them without judgment, you create space for them to move and release.

U – Unwind:

It's time to release the pent-up energy and tension. This could involve taking a few deep breaths, stepping away from the situation for a few minutes, or engaging in some movement. I notice my dog sometimes has to bark or yawn or stretch and then back to ease. I think its best we copy beings who are good at finding ease, dogs are and humans are not. So do what they do shake and shake and then to ease.

E – Ease:

As the energy of the threat response dissipates, you'll naturally begin to feel a sense of ease returning. This is your body's natural state of balance and well-being. Take a moment to savor this feeling of calm, allowing yourself to rest and recharge. Let the mind go blank. In the words of Luba ‘no more words’.

The T.R.U.E. method is not a one-time fix, but a practice to be cultivated over time. By consistently tuning into your body's signals and responding with compassion and awareness, you can break free from the cycle of chronic stress and reclaim your innate capacity for ease.

Remember: There is no problem to solve, nowhere to go, nothing to do. By embracing the T.R.U.E. method, you can learn to navigate the challenges of life with grace, resilience, and a renewed sense of inner peace.
